GST Invoices and Bill Printing for Restaurants

What you are allowed to issue depends on how your outlet is registered, and the bill should say the right thing on it. Set your status once and every bill afterwards carries the correct heading, your details and a bill number that runs in order.

The three kinds of bill

Your registrationWhat the bill is headed
Registered under GST, with a GSTINTax Invoice
Composition schemeBill of Supply
Not registeredReceipt

You set this once in Edit Profile and every bill afterwards is headed correctly.

Bill numbers

Bills are numbered in order, with a prefix you choose and a starting number you set. The number is issued when the bill is raised, so the sequence is the sequence.

Outlets that are not registered get a plain bill with no number, which is what an unregistered outlet should be giving.

What is on the bill

Printing and sharing

Print it from the order or sale screen. You can also send it to the guest, so a lost paper bill is not lost at all.
