Restaurant Billing That Works Without Internet
The connection drops in the middle of a rush and the till stops. That is the fear that keeps outlets on a machine. It does not happen here: billing carries on, and the record catches up by itself.
What keeps working offline
- Opening a table and keeping its record
- Recording a walk-in or counter sale
- Adding dishes, changing quantities, ticking dishes served
- Taking payment and closing the bill
- Printing the bill
- Looking at screens you have already opened today
What needs the connection
A guest placing a new order from their phone needs a line on their side and yours. Nothing else about running the counter does.
How the catching up works
Everything recorded offline is held on the device and sent the moment the connection returns. It survives the machine being switched off in between, for days if it comes to that.
Bills printed offline
The bill prints from what is on the device, so the guest still gets one. For outlets registered for GST, the bill number is issued by the server and follows once the connection returns.
Frequently asked questions
Can I bill customers without internet?
Yes. Opening tables, recording counter sales, taking payment and printing bills all work offline, and sync when the connection returns.
What happens to offline sales if I switch the device off?
They are kept on the device and sent when the connection returns, even days later.
Could a sale be recorded twice?
No. Each sale carries its own mark, so a retry after a dropped connection is recognised and recorded once.
Can guests still order from their table offline?
No. A guest placing a new order needs a connection on both sides. Everything the counter does keeps working.
Do bills still print offline?
Yes. For GST-registered outlets the bill number is issued by the server and follows when the connection returns.
Free for outlets. LaaoDo has no subscription and no commission on orders. Register your outlet and start taking orders from tables today.
