How to Record Walk-In and Counter Sales

Not every sale comes from a table. Somebody buys a coffee at the counter and leaves. Record it in a few taps so the day's takings stay right, with or without an internet connection.

Recording the sale

Press Add a walk-in sale. Pick dishes from your menu, or type in anything that is not on it with its own price.

Add the guest's name and number if you want the sale tied to them, which is what makes udhaar possible later.

Taking payment

Choose cash, UPI or udhaar. If the guest pays partly in one and partly in another, split it and the record keeps each part separately.

Udhaar is recorded against the guest's number, so what is owed is never on a paper slip.

Printing the bill

Print the bill from the sale screen. It carries your outlet's name, the date, every line and the total.

If the internet is down

Walk-in sales keep working. The sale is saved on the device, the bill still prints, and everything goes to the server when the connection returns. It survives the machine being switched off in between.

Frequently asked questions

How do I record a counter sale?

Press Add a walk-in sale on your dashboard, add what was sold, choose how it was paid and save. It takes a few taps.

Can I record a sale without internet?

Yes. The sale is saved on the device and sent to the server when the connection returns, even if the device is switched off in between.

Can a guest pay partly in cash and partly by UPI?

Yes. Split the payment and the day's record keeps each part separately, so your cash and UPI totals stay correct.

How do I give udhaar on a counter sale?

Choose credit as the payment method and add the guest's mobile number. What they owe is tracked against that number.

Do walk-in sales show in my sales record?

Yes. They appear in the day's record alongside table orders and in any sales record you download.
